Wynyard Quarter Precinct Security

Wynyard Quarter is home to over 8,000 residents, a number of large corporate office buildings, premium hotels, and an excellent range of dining options. Now firmly established on the event calendar, the precinct has hosted numerous local and international events, and its car parks, children’s playgrounds, and waterfront amenities attract thousands of visitors every week.

Cityguard was engaged to prepare a security plan for the entire precinct.

Our Approach

We activated a high-visibility mobile patrol service operating 24/7, with security staff patrolling the precinct and actively engaging with the public and local business owners.

We mobilised dedicated onsite Security Officers, delivering a combination of foot patrols and rapid-response vehicle patrols across the precinct During the summer months, Cityguard provides security services in coordination with lifeguard services at the increasingly popular Karanga “Brownies” Pool.

By treating the entire precinct – from Westhaven to Princes Wharf – as a single operation, we cross-train our staff and build shared knowledge across the team, continually improving the quality and consistency of our service.
